2015 Recruit Austin Conway commits to Wyoming

On July 1 while everybody was worrying about NBA free agency, the Wyoming Cowboys were able to land a commitment to their 2015 class. According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, Class of 2015 guard Austin Conway committed to Wyoming.

This was a huge get for Wyoming as Conway also had offers from the Indiana Hoosiers and Rice Owls. Conway is a 5-foot-1o, 165 lbs point guard that was the Cowboys first commitment in the class of 2015. According to Rivals.com, Conway is a three star recruit but has a lot of potential.

At Overland High School, Austin Conway started off on the varsity as a freshman and never looked back. Matter of fact, his game has just gotten better. According to MaxPreps.com, this past season, Conway averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. Unlike his sophomore year, Conway averaged 15.8 points per game. Other than that, everything else stayed pretty consistent.

This is a good start for Wyoming and Coach Larry Shyatt as in this year’s class he brought in another point guard in Jeremy Lieberman from Calabasas, CA. This past season Wyoming finished 18-15 and lost in the first round of the CBI but with Shyatt signing a five-year extension, the sky is the limit for the Cowboys.
