Florida Gators land forward Noah Dickerson

The Gators of Gainsville got their third commitment for the 2015 class on Sunday when four-star big man Noah Dickerson selected Billy Donovan’s program to join next fall.
Dickerson is the 11th-ranked power forward in the 2015 class and will join fellow recruits KeVaughn Allen and Kevarrius Hayes in the blue and orange. Dickerson talked to CBS Sports about his decision:
"“Coach [Billy] Donovan is a great coach,” Dickerson said. “He develops players, and he has great character. That’s one thing I love about him. He’s a great person outside of a coach.”“I fit in pretty well because they won’t have anyone in that position,” Dickerson said. “They like me inside, but they like me playing on the outside too. They want to develop me into a stretch four.”"
As the third recruit in the class, Dickerson takes up the final scholarship available. However, with Dickerson and Hayes, a center, the Gators will have everything patched up should current Gator Chris Walker leave next spring.
A true back-to-the-basket scorer, Dickerson is apart of a dying breed of players. With more athletic, versatile big men, Dickerson still has a post-up game that can be effective, especially given his high IQ. That high IQ will also lend itself to him becoming more of a stretch four option. However, it is easier to be a post player first and stretch four second than vice versa, which is good news for Dickerson.
