Good morning college basketball fans!

Yesterday, Texas A&M locked up head coach Billy Kennedy for two more years, securing his contract through 2018.

"Texas A&M’s Billy Kennedy receives two-year contract extension that goes through 2018.– Jeff Goodman"

Since taking over in 2011 for the Aggies, Kennedy has compiled a 49-47 overall record and a 19-35 conference record, certainly not noteworthy. However, after securing the top 25 recruit Tyler Davis, Kennedy has positioned himself nicely for the 2015 recruiting class.

In recruiting news, ESPN’s #1 recruit for the 2016 class, Thon Maker, announced he’d be attending school in Canada.

"Thon Maker headed to high school in Canada. Now we’ll see if he winds up re-classifying into ’15, and/or tries to bypass college altogether.– Jeff Goodman"

As Goodman states, this opens up some possibilities for Maker. Depending on where he stands academically, he could reclassify to the 2015 class, where he still rank among the top prospects. He could also take a route similar to that of Emmanuel Mudiay in playing professionally overseas and skipping the college scene entirely.

Lastly, the A-10 conference announced locations for it’s conference tournament in future years.

"The Atlantic 10 will put its men’s basketball tournament in Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center in 2017 and Washington D.C.’s Verizon Center in 2018, a source with knowledge told ESPN.com on Wednesday."

Currently, the Atlantic 10 will play it’s conference tournament at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY for the 2015 and 2016 season. However, they were forced to relocated when the Barclays Center struck a deal with the ACC to host their tournament in 2017 and 2018.
