5-star recruit Antonio Blakeney commits to Louisville

Already sporting a solid recruiting class, Louisville added five-star recruit Antonio Blakeney on Thursday night. Blakeney announced his decision via Twitter late Thursday evening.

"Man it feels so good , all the hard work has paid off ,I will be attending the university of Louisville for college. Coach p I’m coming– Antonio Blakeney"

Blakeney is a shooting guard and ranked #16 overall by ESPN, #13 by Rivals, and #21 by Scout. Regardless, Blakeney’s talent is undeniable. He’s one of the better scorers in his class, with an array of moves and the confidence to execute them. His athleticism lends himself to being a solid finisher at the rim.

However, as is the case with most scorers, Blakeney still needs to work on his decision making and passing. Adding some bulk to his frame would certainly do him some good, especially as he moves to the next level in ACC play next season.

Nevertheless, nabbing a commitment from Blakeney is big for Rick Pitino’s program. With him on board, the Cardinals now have four prospects for 2015, with four-star guard Donovan Mitchell and four-star forwards Deng Adel and Raymond Spalding previous committed.

Where does this put Louisville’s class now? Are they one of the top in the country? Let us know down below!
