Ed Morrow, four-star forward, commits to Nebraska
By Jacob Rude
The Cornhuskers of Nebraska are not known for the basketball prowess. Tim Miles is doing his best to change that.
Having already earned the commitment of the #8 point guard in the 2015 class, Glynn Watson, Miles earned an even bigger commit, landing #62 recruit Ed Morrow, a power forward.
Morrow was down to the Huskers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, pitting rival schools against one another. Scout.com’s Brian Snow offered his insight on the commit.
"This is a huge commitment for Nebraska. First of all it is a win over a fellow conference rival in Iowa, who was the chief competition for Morrow’s commitment, but it gives the Huskers an athlete and defender down low that they haven’t had in a little while. The toughness that Morrow brings to the floor is impressive, and that should play right away from day one. Morrow can guard bigger players because he is long and very athletic, but more than anything it is how hard he plays that makes an impression. He is the type of player who always will have a place because of how much he brings to the table.Along with four-star point guard Glynn Watson and three-star forward Michael Jacobson the Huskers have arguably their best recruiting class ever. If you add in Kansas transfer Andrew White, and it is clear that Nebraska is adding a serious talent infusion into the program."
I think it’s safe to go a step further and say this is the best class in Nebraska history. After battling at the bottom of the Big Ten in it’s first years in the league, Miles is clearly making a statement this recruiting class and Nebraska could become serious competitors in the conference.
