Cameron Biedscheid leaves Missouri basketball program

Kim Anderson’s first season as the head coach of the Missouri Tigers is off to a rough start, and we haven’t even hit Midnight Madness.

Cameron Biedscheid, who transferred from Notre Dame in January, announced he is leaving Missouri. Biedscheid is the third player to leave Missouri since Anderson took over for Frank Haith in April.

Shane Rector transferred out of the program in May and Anderson dismissed forward Torren Jones in August. But it’s not just the players leaving that are making things difficult for Anderson this off-season. Incoming freshmen JaKeenan Gant and D’Angelo Allen are suspended from team activities after being arrested on charges of assault in September.

In his first year at Missouri, Anderson has had quite the headache of problems. He released a statement regarding Biedscheid, which was found on the St. Louis Dispatch’s website.

"“Cameron will no longer be a member of our basketball program as he attends to personal matters,” first-year Tigers coach Kim Anderson said in a prepared statement Tuesday. “We wish him and his family all the best and hope everyone will respect their privacy during this period of time.”Missouri will have no further comment at this time, team spokesman Dave Reiter said in a text message. Anderson is scheduled to meet with reporters Wednesday to discuss the team, which begins preseason practice on Friday."

What a wild, crazy ride for Missouri.
