Busting Bracketology – Preseason Edition
By Alex Miller
Preseason Bracketology
The college basketball season is almost here, so it’s time for our first edition of Busting Bracketology! Debuting on the same day as the USA Today coaches poll, we give our inaugural bracketology. Not so coincidentally, our top four match the top four in today’s coaches poll.
Early on, the bubble teams are Northern Iowa, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, and BYU. Knocking on the door when one of those teams slip are Baylor, Maryland, Memphis, and Alabama.
The Big Ten and ACC account for 1/8th of the field, each conference contributing eight teams into the Big Dance. The Atlantic-10 add five of their own, compared to only three from the SEC.
