2015 NBA Draft: Preseason Top 10 NBA Draft Prospects
By Jacob Rude
10. Justise Winslow, SF, Duke
We’ll start with a Duke rookie and (spoiler!) we’ll end with one, too. While Winslow was actually the third highest prospect to join Duke this year, he’s one of the better NBA prospects they have.
Winslow is an attacker. He’s someone you don’t want to get in front of unless you wish to end up on a poster. He’s fearless at getting to the rim and explosive at finishing. However, Winslow will make a name for himself on the defensive end, where he’s above average for a small forward at contesting shots at the rim. His size gives him the ability to guard multiple positions, He has the makings of becoming a lock down defender in the NBA.
The biggest area of improvement for Winslow is his jump shot. Right now, his ceiling is limited because of his inconsistent jumper. While something he can fix, until his jumper is more consistent and a more fluid follow through, his upside looks like a high-energy role player in the NBA as opposed to a star.
