2015 NBA Draft: Preseason Top 10 NBA Draft Prospects
By Jacob Rude
3. Stanley Johnson, SF, Arizona
Johnson already has the size to be considered a big NBA small forward, and he’s just 18 years old.
At 6’7, 245 pounds, you’d confuse Johnson for a football player at times. Johnson knows how to use his frame and would likely be an above average defender in the NBA as is. He’s drawn comparisons to Metta Artest Panda thanks to his defensive abilities. He’s also a solid ball-handler, but also played a fair amount of power forward in high school, adding to his array of skills.
His offense is a work in progress, however. He can’t knock down a three-pointer consistently, a skill he’ll need in the NBA. Right now, he’s an above-average role player in the NBA and will need a big step offensively to become an elite prospect.
