2. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have bottomed out for the second year in the row and, after losing Kobe Bryant likely for the season, will be committing to the tank going forward.
The current state of the roster has the Lakers crowded with big men, but only a few will be around next season. In fact, the only Ryan Kelly and Julius Randle will be under contract next year. The latter is an intriguing prospect alongside Okafor as he plays away from the post and can mesh nicely together. There could be fewer scenarios more perfect for the Lakers that sees them land both Randle and Okafor in subsequent drafts.
There is very little reason to believe the Lakers wouldn’t take Okafor. They have essentially a clean slate this off-season and will go into the draft with the idea of selecting the best player available. They have no agendas going into the draft and would select essentially any position. In a dream scenario, they either land the top pick or slot right behind the 76ers or T’Wolves in the #2 spot in the draft so they can land Okafor.
Chance Of Drafting Okafor – 100%
