2015 AAC Tournament Printable Bracket

A season removed from one of their own bringing home the national title, the AAC will likely have to look elsewhere for a chance to win the national title yet again. The 2015 AAC tournament will be a barometer for who will represent the conference, which could end up sending just two teams dancing this year.

The Connecticut Huskies have been anything but national championship contenders this year. With Shabazz Napier, among others, departing from last year’s title-winning team, the Huskies and Kevin Ollie have found it hard to replicate success. However, with Ryan Boatright, the team is just a couple victories away from going dancing yet again, but it would take a conference tournament title for Ollie and company to have a chance at defending their crown.

Instead, sitting atop the AAC this season are the SMU Mustangs. Even without star prospect Emmanuel Mudiay, Larry Brown has positioned his squad with a 15-3 conference record and a 6-seed in Joe Lunardi’s bracketology. Chasing them are Tulsa, Cincinnati, and Temple, all three currently on the bubble. Cincinnati is the only team of the three securely in the tournament, with Temple one of the last teams predicted to go dancing. The Golden Hurricanes, however, are among the first four out, making this tournament ever more crucial.
