  • I wanted a nice mix of under and upperclassmen and a scoring guard. Teams, especially in March, make deep runs with teams that have some talented, experienced players. To fulfill this role, I REALLY wanted senior guard Jerian Grant of Notre Dame. He is the type of guard that can distribute the ball to make his teammates better and take over late in games during winning time.

Outside of this, I wanted a quality big and some athleticism and defensive ability on the wing. I achieved this with quality bigs in Jahlil Okafor and Perry Ellis. On the wing, I was lucky enough to grab sophomore Oklahoma guard and Big 12 Player of the Year Buddy Hield, who averages over 17 a game and can guard the other team’s best player.
