Busting Bracketology – 15th seed, East Region

I’ll admit, my love of this name might have influenced my decision here. I mean, we aren’t talking Chanticleers awesome, but Ospreys is pretty high up there. I mean, how many of you have already thought about Googling what an Osprey is? Admit it, you did. I’ll save you the time. It’s a bird, which is another reason it falls behind the Chanticleers. Mythical roosters > non-fictional birds.

On the court, the Ospreys have the makings of a team who could shoot their way past an opponent. They shoot a lot of threes (42.4% of their total shots) and make a lot of threes (39.5% shooting from deep) and they defend the three well. Their 55.8% effective field goal percentage is 15th in the nation and they have decent enough rim protection.

You know what, I talked myself into this one. Ospreys for the Sweet 16!
