VIDEO: D’Angelo Russell, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson Dishing Dimes

facebooktwitterreddit

The round of 32 match-up between Ohio State and Arizona had fans excited for the possibility of D’Angelo Russell against some of the best perimeter defenders in the country in Stanley Johnson and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. While Russell has struggled to score, though, he’s dropping absolute dimes right now.

Not to be outdone, Arizona’s Rondae Hollis-Jefferson one-upped him a few plays later with this fantastic behind-the-back dish to teammate Kaleb Tarczewski, who finished off the pretty pass.

This back-and-forth affair has had it’s share of wackiness, including a rebound by a seated Stanley Johnson and an intentional/unintentional volleyball bump into the basket.

At the half, Arizona currently leads by one, 26-25. Jefferson has just 2 points, but has added 3 rebounds and 3 assists. On the other hand, Russell has 5 assists, but has struggled from the field with just 5 points on 2-of-11 shooting with Jefferson, among others, guarding him for parts of the first half.

With one of the best highlight-reel players in the nation in Russell and the likes of Jefferson and teammate Stanley Johnson capable of dropping a highlight-worthy play at any point, we’ll be sure to see some more plays that’ll leave us amazed.
