The East region of the 2015 NCAA Tournament was flipped on it’s head in the first weekend when the top-seeded Villanova and second-seeded Virginia both lost in the Round of 32, while the fifth-seeded Northern Iowa Panthers were bounced, as were the sixth-seeded Providence Friars.

More from March Madness

What is left is the third-seeded Oklahoma Sooners, fourth-seeded Louisville Cardinals, seventh-seeded Michigan State Spartans, and the eighth-seeded NC State Wolfpack. No other region is as wide-open as this one, and no other region has both of their top seeds out already.

With the remaining teams, we have two of the best coaches in the nation in Rick Pitino with Louisville and Tom Izzo with Michigan State. You have the upset-specialists in NC State, who are looking for revenge on the Cardinals, and you have a representative of arguably the best conference in the nation in the Big 12 with the Oklahoma Sooners.

Who are the favorites going forward in the region? We take a look and rank the final four remaining teams to which will make the official Final Four and book their ticket to Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium for a shot at the national title.
