Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana Hoosiers present an interesting destination for Maker if he decides to come there. Though he is talented, he won’t be the only star on that team, but it could make for a good situation where he can develop and grow without the pressure of being the main threat.
With Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell, James Blackmon, Jr., and Troy Williams returning, the Hoosiers will already have an established perimeter game that carried them throughout the season last year. With the addition of Thomas Bryant and Juwan Morgan, Indiana added some size to try and compete with the bigger teams of the Big Ten Conference, which Maker could bolster as well.
Maker could provide a dangerous inside-outside threat with his accurate shooting touch and ability to post up when needed. He isn’t the bruiser that Indiana would like, but his skill would be a great asset for a team that will look to outscore opponents on a nightly basis, a fun philosophy for any college basketball player to play under.
As it was stated previously, Indiana has been one of the teams that have communicated with Maker the most. Perhaps the realization that he is coaching for his job has made head coach Tom Crean try a little harder to secure such a unique talent to salvage his job for at least another season.
