Danny Manning/ Power Forward / 6-foot-10, 230 lbs.
Danny Manning is going to be the man in the middle for this team.
He has the wing span and enough of an inside game to be able to go down on the block and do damage to opposing bigs.
When he first got into the NBA he was averaging 19.1 per game in six seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. For his career he averaged 14.0 points and five rebounds.
While he was in college he was part of the 1988 Kansas Jayhawks team that won the National Championship when they defeated the Oklahoma Sooners 83-79.
Manning averaged 20.1 points per contest while at Kansas and won the Naismith and Wooden Awards for the 1987-88 season.
Now he is coaching the Wake Forest Demon Deacons going into his second year with the program after being a long time assistant with his alma mater Kansas, and having a coaching stint with Tulsa where he guided them to a tournament appearance in 2014.
Can’t really say he is going to bring muscle to the team or be an intimidater in the paint, but he is going to be enough of an inside presence for this particular team.
Really could have used Jeff Ruland though.
