G-Frank Mason (Kansas)

Mason was Mr. Reliable for the Jayhawks last year, scoring in double figures in 20 straight games. He’ll split the duties a bit more this year with Devonte’ Graham in the backcourt.

G-Monte Morris (Iowa State)

Morris posted a historic assist to turnover ratio last year of 4.63. He’ll never be a big scorer, but he’ll never have to with all the weapons the Cyclones have.

G-Wayne Selden (Kansas)

Selden has been one of the more frustrating players in college basketball the past two years, but expectations are through the roof once again after he led the Jayhawks to the gold medal in the World University Games.

G-Phil Forte (Oklahoma State)

There may not be a better shooter in college basketball, as Forte is a threat to pull up as soon as he crosses half court.

F-Rico Gathers (Baylor)

Nobody hits the boards as well as Gathers, who is an absolute load to box out. If he could add a few post moves on the offensive end, he could be one of the best players in the conference this year.

F-Jameel McKay (Iowa State)

As soon as McKay became eligible last season, he had a major impact on the Cyclones with his shot-blocking ability. Few people in college basketball influence that side of the floor as much as he does.

F-Devin Williams (West Virginia)

If he can stop fouling so often (three fouls per game in just 25 minutes), he could stay on the floor and potentially put up numbers similar to Ellis’. That would be huge for a team desperate for offense.
