Who were the most Underrated Teams Coming into 2015-16

The most underrated teams are usually the teams that are in the section that says “others receiving votes” when you look at the AP and Coaches’ Poll.

The three teams that stick out as coming into the 2015-16 season as the most underrated are the Boise State Broncos, Florida State Seminoles, and the Texas A&M Aggies.

Boise State has the make up to become one of those teams that no one wants to play when March comes around.

They have plenty of senior experience returning, a surefire NBA talent in James Webb III, and they are capable of shooting the three-ball well.

Last season the Broncos knocked down 39.2% of their three-point attempts and 45.6% of their shots from the field. That kind of shooting capability can make a team dangerous.

This team did not receive a whole lot of votes in either the AP or Coaches Poll, but you can guarantee that they will be in the Top 25 before the season is out.

Florida State is another team that has the talent to be a Top 25 team in the nation sooner rather than later.

Leonard Hamilton is going to have a nice mix of players taking the court for him led by Xavier Rathan-Mayes who is a sleeper pick for “ACC Player of the Year”.

Rathan-Mayes along with seniors Devon Bookert and Montay Brandon, and freshmen Dwayne Bacon and Malik Beasley, will make the Florida State Seminoles dangerous in the ACC Conference as well as nationally.

  • They are not ranked now, but they are capable of becoming highly ranked before it is all said and done.

Don’t forget, Notre Dame was unranked before the 2014-15 season started last year. By the time the Irish were done , they won the ACC Tournament and took the Kentucky Wildcats to the brink of elimination in the Elite Eight.

The Texas A&M Aggies have one of the top freshman recruiting classes in the country and an All-SEC performer in 6-foot-7 senior guard Danuel House.

Billy Kennedy and his bunch are going to be hungry for an NCAA bid this season, and he is going to have plenty of depth with which to get that done.

This team is easily the second or third best team in the SEC right now. The size that they are going to be able to put on the court is going to give a lot of teams issues when you consider that 6-foot-7 Jaylen Jones and 6-foot-4 Alex Caruso kind of get lost in the shuffle when speaking on the Aggies.

Texas A&M will be dangerous this season and they should also be ranked by the time league play starts.
