College Basketball: Five Transfers Who Will Have Major Impacts in the 2015-16 Season
Damian Lee – Louisville Cardinals
Damian Lee is coming from Drexel to Louisville with a reputation for getting buckets.
The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 21.4 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Dragons while shooting 43.8% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range.
Rick Pitino hopes that he can get similar output from Lee for a Louisviille Cardinals team that lost quite a bit of perimeter production from last season’s club.
The question with Lee is, “Will he be able to be as effective against a better grade of competition”.
Being able to get buckets in the Colonial Athletic Conference for a sub .500 team is a little bit different from getting buckest for an ACC team that is expected to compete with the big boys of the conference.
Bringing in an experienced player like Damian Lee does make it to where Louisville will not be in a full rebuild mode this upcoming season.
Lee, along with Cleveland State transfer Trey Lewis who averaged 15.8 points per contest last season, should be able to make the Cardinals a threat to win any time they take the court this season.
