ACC Basketball: ACC Basketball Power Rankings for December

No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heels
North Carolina’s only losses have come on the road to Northern Iowa and Texas. Other than those hiccups UNC has taken care of business all season long.
The best thing that could have happened to the Tar Heels was trying to navigate life without All-American point guard Marcus Paige early in the season when he was out with a fractured hand.
That allowed players such as Joel Berry II and Nate Britt to find their game from the perimeter so when Marcus Paige returned the backcourt rotation was more cohesive.

Kennedy Meeks and Brice Johnson continue to be one of the best frontcourt combinations in the nation with Meeks bringing 12.3 points and 7.4 rebounds to the floor and Johnson averaging 13.4 points and a team high 9.1 rebounds per game.
The Texas loss at the buzzer is really not a loss that should shake their confidence at all. Texas simply matched up well against UNC man for man.
The Tar Heels have played a tough schedule all non-conference long and will have one more tough home test when UCLA comes to Chapel Hill on December 19th.
North Carolina is in a nice position and has lived up to their billing as one of the top teams in the country.
They are only going to get better from here and by the time March hits, teams are going to be dealing with a Tar Heels squad that can go 10 players deep and score a bunch of points.
This team is truly dangerous!
