No. 1 Duke Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils are easily the best team in the ACC right now.

The only loss that they have taken was to then No.2 Kentucky.  Other than that Duke has been able to handle their business with ease.

They have gotten better as the season has progressed. Grayson Allen is a legitimate “Player of the Year” candidate putting up 21.4 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 50.4% from the field and 45.5% from three-point land.

  • Brandon Ingram has started to find his game also bringing 14.9 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 48.2% from the floor.

Duke took a big hit with Amile Jefferson being out indefinitely with an injured foot.

His 11.4 points and 10.3 rebounds brought needed interior toughness to the floor that is sorely going to be missed from the team.

Marshall Plumlee did a great job of providing an interior presence in Duke’s win over Georgia Southern Tuesday night finishing with nine points and 11 rebounds in the contest.

Bottom line is that when you can say that your only loss has come against a Top Five team that is also a threat to win the National Championship like Kentucky, you are easily the best team in the ACC.
