10. Malcolm Brogdon – Virginia Cavaliers
The Virginia Cavaliers have been playing strong in the non-conference and a big reason for that is the play of 6-foot-5 shooting guard Malcolm Brogdon.
Coming into this season the Cavaliers had lost some offensive punch with Justin Anderson going to the NBA.

UVA is already known for being a defensive juggernaut nationally, but for “The Wahoos” to take the next step to becoming a national title contender, they were going to have to come up with an equally potent offensive attack with Malcolm Brogdon leading the way.
Brogdon has answered the bell so far this season for Tony Bennett‘s squad averaging 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 44.9% from the field and 41.8% from beyond the three-point arc.
The reason we have Brogdon No.10 on the list is because as much as it is true that he is important to the success of the Virginia Cavaliers, people could make the argument that UVA forward Anthony Gill is equally important to the cause and might be having a better season.
Gill is averaging 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds on 57.1% shooting from the field.
The output of Gill alleviates some of the workload that Brogdon truly has to do for the squad, but Brogdon honestly is the more important of the two players and that is why he gets the nod on this Wooden Award ranking.
