College Basketball: Top 10 Candidates for the Wooden Award

9. Wayne Selden Jr. – Kansas Jayhawks
Wayne Selden Jr. is completely balling this season for the Kansas Jayhawks.
The efficiency that everyone expected for him to play with over his first couple of seasons has finally shown up to start off his 2015-16 campaign.
Kansas Jayhawks
Selden is putting up 15.5 points, but he is shooting a ridiculous 56.3% from the field and 55.4% from three-point range.
The Kansas Jayhawks have one of the most potent rosters in the country when you look at the depth that Bill Self has at his disposal game in and game out.
Frank Mason, Perry Ellis, and Devonte Graham are also having solid seasons for the Jayhawks, but there is no way that the team is currently sitting at No.2 in the nation without Wayne Selden contributing the way that he has to this point in the season.
In the end we really don’t see him being a finalist for the Wooden Award.
But if Kansas has a good showing in the Big 12 this year and continues to be ranked highly nationally, the talk should be about how Selden has been a major contributor to their success.
He could move up this list by February.
