There are three games that will peak you interest on this slate of game.
The first one is Vanderbilt vs Kentucky on January 23rd on ESPN2. The reason why this game is interesting has a lot to do with the interior matchup between Commodores’ center Damian Jones and Kentucky freshman big man Skal Labissiere.
Both of these players are currently ranked pretty high on NBA Mock Drafts for 2016, and being able to watch them play against each other head-up is going to be an NBA scouts dream.
Damian Jones has been projected as an early to mid First Round pick in early Mock Drafts, and is coming off of a season where he led Vandy in points, rebounds and blocks with averages of 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 rejections per contest.
Labissiere is projected to be one of the first two players taken off the draft board come next summer and squaring off against Jones will be a good litmus test for him.
Georgia at LSU is another game that should be interesting to take in on January 26th at 9PM on ESPNU.

South Bound & Down
Georgia brings back their experienced back court of Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann for their senior seasons after making the NCAA tournament in 2014-15.
They should provide some solid competition for LSU’s Antonio Blankney and Tim Quarterman if you are into backcourt battles.
Finally, the Tennessee at Alabama matchup will be a solid game to watch as new Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes takes his Volunteers on the road to face Avery Johnson’s Crimson Tide for the first time.
It is going to be interesting to see which one of these two coaches is able to get their programs up to respectability faster.
Rick Barnes is a seasoned recruiter who simply couldn’t get any of his Texas teams over the hump come tournament time, while Avery Johnson can show up in living rooms and show off his NBA championship ring with the San Antonio Spurs.
This game between Tennessee and Alabama can be seen on SEC Network at 9 PM ET.
