North Carolina showed their superiority in dispatching the Florida State Seminoles 106-90 in Tallahassee.

When you  thought about this game between the Florida State Seminoles and North Carolina Tar Heels, you knew that you were going to be in for a treat because of the awesome point guard matchup between FSU’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes and UNC’s Marcus Paige.

The two standout ACC point guards did not disappoint. Xavier Rathan-Mayes finished the game with 30 points, four rebounds and three assists, and Marcus Paige finished with 30 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Brice Johnson ended up being the difference maker in this game logging a ridiculous 39 points and 23 rebounds in this game.

Florida State found themselves behind the eight ball with the North Carolina Tar Heels using the first 10-minutes of the contest to build a 25-13 lead.

Eventually things simmered down in the first half and the Seminoles were able to ride the hot hand of Xavier Rathan-Mayes to close the gap before the half, going into the locker room down 41-37.

Florida State made a mini run to start off the second half but did not do enough to maintain their intensity and eventually gave up to many easy buckets to the Tar Heels.

The Seminoles grabbed the lead at 56-55 with 15:49 left in the second half before North Carolina began to shift gears and leave Florida State in the dust.

The Seminoles eventually succumbed to the depth, talent, and discipline of the Tar Heels and a once close game turned into a blowout.

When you see a team score 100+ points in regulation like North Carolina did, you get the idea that they were able to do what they wanted on the floor.
