The ACC Basketball Tournament begins this week. Who is most likely to come out on top?

It’s officially that time of year! March Madness is here.

Of course, before Selection Sunday and the official tournament, we get to go through Championship Week, the week when most conferences play their respective conference tournaments. Of those tournaments is the ACC.

And what a season it was for the ACC. The familiar names like Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia found themselves at the top of the regular season standings. They were joined by a bit of a surprise team in Miami, and Notre Dame also finished near the top and has the potential to make some noise.

The ACC also had quite a fun player of the year debate this year, between Malcolm Brogdon of Virginia, Brice Johnson of North Carolina, and Grayson Allen of Duke. Ultimately, Brogdon ended up receiving the award and I think it was the right choice.

In terms of how much a player does for his team, nobody does more than Brogdon. He’s probably the best perimeter defender in the country, and still manages to put up about 20 points per game, essentially carrying Virginia’s offense and defense.

Anyway, the ACC Tournament kicks off officially on Tuesday with two first round games, and will end on Saturday night with the championship. You can find the official bracket here.

So let’s start breaking down some of these teams and games!
