The 2016 NBA Draft at the Barclays Center was a memorable one.

Last night, in the house that Jay-Z built, college kids — who we’ve all talked ourselves in and out of ever since LeBron James became the internet’s newest crying meme — finally got to make the jump from Calculus 101 to calculating their first NBA paycheck.

For the first 15 minutes, everything was as kosher as a Hebrew National hot dog. Ben Simmons with his new, NBA-ready body (#MuscleWatch) went number one to the Sixers; officially becoming the hammer in the Sam Hinkie’s “Trust the Process.”

It looked like Brandon Ingram felt like he was the No. 1 pick as well, probably because he didn’t have to go to Philadelphia and instead gets to spend his time in Los Angeles.

But from there, things got a wacky.

The Boston Celtics drafted Jaylen Brown with the third pick (still shocking), Tom Thibodeau drafted Kris Dunn, after conceivably trying to wheel and deal between his former employers and the 76ers, making the Timberwolves a Top-5 League Pass team next year.

The Kings drafted the freak athlete Marquese Chriss from Washington, only to then trade him to the Suns for the No. 13 pick, No. 28 pick and Bogdan Bogdanovic.

The Kings then made DeMarcus Cousins happy by drafting Georgios Papagiannis:

See, I told you things got wacky. And that was only the first 13 picks.

So, with all of the excitement, it was only right that we gave you *FOUR* takeaways from one of the most fun nights for both college basketball and NBA fans alike.
