This NCAA basketball freshman class could be one of the best we’ve ever seen.

With several players in the class of 2016 that got consideration as the top freshman, this year’s recruiting class may be the best we’ve ever seen. Of course, only time will tell.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski reeled in four of the top 15 players in the class, headlined by forwards Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum. It’s the second time in the past three years that Duke has brought in the top recruiting class in the nation. After a fifth place ACC finish in 2016, the Blue Devils are set to rebound and compete for a conference title.

Kentucky on the other hand, finished their regular season tied for first place with Texas A&M. That didn’t stop John Calipari from hauling in five of the top 25 players in the class, in hopes of winning another SEC title.

And although recruiting power houses, Duke and Kentucky ,nabbed eight of the top 15 players in the class of 2016, a couple of new faces got into the mix at the top.

North Carolina State got a commitment from point guard Dennis Smith Jr., giving the Wolfpack one of the top 10 players in the class.

Florida State also got into the action, snagging small forward Jonathan Isaac. Isaac is one of the top small forwards and should be a great addition to FSU’s talented nucleus of players.

Here are the top 10 freshman in the class of 2016.
