4. Caleb Swanigan (Purdue)

Caleb Swanigan had a nice freshman campaign, averaging 10.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the season. Swanigan got better as the year went on, and the good news for Purdue fans is that he’s returning for his sophomore season.

It’s difficult to imagine that Swanigan won’t average a double-double in his second season with the Boilermakers. His post presence is formidable and opponents will have a difficult time with him on both ends of the court.

Also, Purdue is fortunate that the team returns junior forward Vince Edwards and junior center Isaac Haas.

Swanigan, with the rest of the Boilermakers core still intact, could be a difficult out for the rest of the Big Ten Conference.
