11. Tulane Green Wave

2015-16 record: 12-22 overall, 3-15 in AAC

Head coach: Mike Dunleavy Sr. (first year)

Key returning players: Malik Morgan, Melvin Frazier, Cameron Reynolds, Von Julien, Kain Harris, Ryan Smith, Blake Paul

Newcomers: Three-star PF Maxwell Starwood, three-star PG Colin Slater, three-star PG Rey Ona Embo, JUCO F Sammis Reyes

The Green Wave won just three games in league play last year and now they have to deal with the loss of three of their top five scorers, Louis Dabney, Dylan Osetkowski and Jernard Jarreau. On top of that, the program is transitioning from Ed Conroy to new head coach and former NBA head man Mike Dunleavy Sr.

So, yes the Green Wave won’t be very good this season. They have just two seniors (Ryan Smith and Malik Morgan) and are still waiting for their 2015 class to adjust to the speed of college basketball.

On the bright side, Tulane has a very young core from which to build around. They currently have nine freshman and sophomores listed on their roster, including Vanderbilt transfer Samir Sehic (who will sit out this season). The Green Wave also added former UNLV guard Jordan Cornish. He will also gain eligibility starting in 2017-18.
