15. Jim Christian (Boston College)

Career record: 262-197 (57.1%)
Record at Boston College: 20-44 (31.3%)
NCAA Tournament appearances: 2
Final Fours: 0
National Championships: 0

Jim Christian walked into a pretty bad situation at Boston College. It hasn’t gotten any better since, winning only 20 of his 64 games as head coach and going winless in ACC play last season.

Between players that left the program before he arrived, and ones that have left since, he hasn’t had a lot to work with. Trying to win games with transfer players and low-level recruits is not an easy task, yet it’s the one that Christian signed up for when he left Ohio for BC.

Christian has a solid history of winning at programs like Kent State and Ohio, but he’ll need help in turning this Boston College program around.

It’s got to be unimaginably difficult getting elite talent to come to a team that sits at the bottom of the conference standings year after year. But Christian is a good enough coach that he could begin to right the ship with just a couple of top-100 commitments.

In the mean time, don’t expect much upward movement for the Eagles in the immediate future.
