5. Virginia at Clemson

When: January 14

Prediction: 69-67, Clemson

Jaron Blossomgame wants to make sure he sees the NCAA Tournament this year. A win over a likely top-10 team in Virginia can surely do that. The Tigers are a lot like Pittsburgh because they welcome some of the top teams in the ACC at home this season.

Last year, also like the Panthers, they beat Duke at home. This year UVA may fall victim to both teams.

Clemson returns a number of pieces, along with the additions of Shelton Mitchell, Marcquise Reed and Elijah Thomas.

I think Clemson looks to make an early statement to build their tournament resume. They will beat Virginia on their home court.
