Conference Awards

Coach of the Year: Sean Miller, Arizona

Player of the Year: Ivan Rabb, California

Freshman of the Year: Markelle Fultz, Washington

All-Pac-12 First Team:

Freshman guard Markelle Fultz, Washington

Freshman guard Lonzo Ball, UCLA

Junior forward Kyle Kuzma, Utah

Junior forward Dillon Brooks, Oregon

Sophomore forward Ivan Rabb, California

All-Pac-12 Second Team:

Senior guard Lorenzo Bonam, Utah

Junior guard Jordan McLaughlin, USC

Sophomore guard Tyler Dorsey, Oregon

Senior guard/forward Isaac Hamilton, UCLA

Senior forward Dusan Ristic, Arizona

Some might question me giving the Coach of the Year honor to Sean Miller, but with his roster in disarray already, Miller is likely to put together a masterful coaching job in 2016-17. As long as Miller is roaming the sidelines in Tucson, the Wildcats will always be relevant and contending in the Pac-12.

Dillon Brooks could challenge Ivan Rabb for the Player of the Year award. Brooks is currently injured though and it is unknown as to when he will return for the Ducks.

In terms of the All-Conference teams, I slid Dusan Ristic onto the Second Team. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tres Tinkle (Oregon State) or Lauri Markkanen (Arizona) jumped into the mix, but I do believe Ristic will have a big 2016-17 campaign.

Allonzo Trier was left off the All-Conference team list as we await news on his eligibility issues. UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball also could be challenged for a spot on the First Team. His teammate Isaac Hamilton is in the mix.
