3. Villanova Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 6

Record: 23-2 (10-2 Big East)

Villanova held off Georgetown Tuesday evening and now have a two-game lead over Xavier and Butler in the Big East race. A date at Xavier is one of the team’s final tests left in the regular season.

Josh Hart dominated the Hoyas last night with 25 points on 8-of-18 shooting. He also went 4-of-9 from deep and collected seven rebounds. Miles Bridges had 11 and Donte DiVincenzo had 15 off the bench. Nova had weathered the Big East slate and largely looks ready to defend their national title.
