Atlantic 10

Lead-Pipe Lock: None.

Some Perspiration: Dayton, VCU

Better Double-Up on the Deodorant: None.

Dayton Flyers, 22-5 (13-2): Due to their weak strength of schedule for the rest of the season, Dayton is still not in the Lead-Pipe Lock section. Quite possibly the game of the year approaches between Dayton and VCU and that should come as no surprise. For both of these teams in the A-10, all it takes a few more wins and they will become locks. An eight seed is a reasonably safe position for the time being, so Flyer fans can just focus on securing more wins.

Record vs. potential tournament teams: 1-3

Monday seed: 8     RPI: 27    SOS: 69

Bad losses: vs. Nebraska, at Massachusetts

Remaining schedule: at Davidson (2/24), vs. VCU (3/1), at George Washington (3/4)

VCU Rams, 22-5 (12-2): VCU is hot right now. Like red hot. They are on an eight-game winning streak that has put them in a safe position as an eight seed. With both Rhode Island and Dayton coming on the road in their last five games, things will not be easy for the Rams. However, if they can somehow keep up their hot streak and close the year 4-0, then it would not be a surprise for them to keep climbing up the seed lines.

Record vs. potential tournament teams: 2-2

Monday seed: 8     RPI: 26    SOS: 67

Bad losses: vs. Illinois, at Davidson, at Fordham

Remaining schedule: vs. Saint Louis (2/22), at Rhode Island (2/25), at Dayton (3/1), vs. George Mason (3/4)
