5. Tough game tested

The ACC is incredibly talented this year. Teams in the conference don’t get a game off with anyone they play. Just about everyone can compete with each other on any given game day. Experts have as many as nine projected teams from the conference that are going to make the NCAA tournament, and rightfully so.

The ACC is statistically one of the toughest and most talented conferences in the country. They may be the best league from top to bottom in decades.

Virginia Tech’s strength of schedule is in the top 75 for toughest this season and are currently in 8th place in the ACC. They are only two games back of second place in the conference and they have three very winnable games to end the season.

Two of the games are at home and the other is a road game against Boston College who is in last place of the ACC. Virginia Tech should be a safe bet to get in the tournament if they take care of business like they should. If they win all three they can jump up the conference standings and improve their tournament resume.
