As the Gonzaga Bulldogs enter the WCC Tournament the No. 1 seed, what will be the top storylines to get excited about?

This year has been fantastic for Mark Few’s Gonzaga Bulldogs.

After losing Kyle Wiltjer, Eric McClellan, Kyle Dranginis, and Domantis Sabonis from last year’s Sweet Sixteen team, it would have been easy to write this season off as a rebuilding year. With only three returning players expected to earn regular minutes, the Bulldogs were initially ranked No. 14 in the country.

Since then, Gonzaga began the season 29-0 before losing their final game to conference rival BYU. During this stretch, they spent four consecutive at No. 1 and are currently ranked No. 4.

The team’s 17-1 conference record makes them the top seed in the WCC Tournament. The tournament begins on Friday, March 3rd, and Gonzaga will play its first game on Saturday, against the winner of the game between Portland and Pacific.

As Gonzaga prepares for what could be their 15th WCC Tournament Championship in 19 years, let’s unpack the top storylines to follow for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
