On Saturday night in the ACC basketball league, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to South Bend to take on the Louisville Cardinals.

TV Schedule: Saturday, Mar. 4, 2:00 p.m. ET, CBS

Arena: KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, Kentucky

Prediction: Louisville 75 Notre Dame 68

Both teams are playing for NCAA Tournament seeding and the ACC standings, and this game will most likely add to the list of great games in the Notre Dame-Louisville series history. The stakes are high and this is arguably one of the best games to close out the college basketball regular season this Saturday.

Louisville has had some trouble defeating ranked teams as of late, dropping four of their last five games against ranked opponents. On top of that, the Cardinals just dropped a tough game at Wake Forest. The Cardinals are somewhat struggling and they may struggle more containing Notre Dame’s offense. The Irish are not explosive by any means, but their fundamentally sound offense is the perfect tool to handle Louisville’s stifling defense.

After dropping four straight games, the Irish seem to have finally found their mojo. Notre Dame is playing extremely well and seems to be peaking at the right time of the year, riding a six-game winning streak into this season finale match-up with Louisville. Notre Dame has the perfectly structured team to match up with Louisville’s defense. It just depends on if they can execute as well as they have been known to as of late.

Louisville and Notre Dame always seem to provide fans with an entertaining game. This one should not be any different. However, Louisville should edge them out on senior night in their home finale. The Cardinals dropped a close one earlier this year in South Bend, and revenge will be on their mind as they shift their mentality to post season play.
