What are the top storylines to watch for as the North Carolina Tar Heels enter the ACC Tournament as the No. 1 seed?

Believe it or not, the college basketball regular season has officially come to a close, and the NCAA Tournament is right around the corner. It seems like just yesterday Duke was going to go undefeated, and Indiana was a top-3 team nationally.

But first, conference tournaments! Many smaller leagues use this as an opportunity for an automatic bid to the big dance. Underdogs from larger leagues have also used this as an opportunity to make that last push to make the NCAA Tournament.

North Carolina is not either of these things. They are the top dog from the top conference, and they very well may be the last team standing when it is all said and done.

The Tar Heels are stacked. They are long, athletic, fast, and everything coach Roy Williams wants from his team in his system. They are experienced and know what it takes to make a deep run.

The Heels are also hungry. They are still upset about last year’s last-second loss to Villanova. They are reminded of it every time they play on national television as we get to hear about Nate Britt’s brother, Kris Jenkins, the Villanova player who hit the game-winning shot.

After winning the ACC regular season title, the Tar Heels will now turn their focus on the league tournament to help propel them deep into March.

There are many storylines to focus on when it comes to the Tar Heels in the ACC Tournament. Here is a look at the top-5 storylines to follow as the Heels attempt to win back-to-back ACC Tournament titles.
