What are the top storylines to watch for as the Virginia Cavaliers enter the ACC Tournament?

The NCAA basketball season has come to a close, and it’s officially time to look forward to conference tournaments. Some people aren’t fans of them but how could you turn down free basketball?

Whether you put a lot of stock in these tournaments or not, you have to love the idea of competitive basketball to end the season right before the NCAA Tournament starts. It’s like a mini-March Madness right before the real thing. There are Cinderellas and there are Goliaths. The only difference is everyone’s team makes it and has a shot to win it all.

Of all of these tournaments commencing this week, the ACC Tournament will arguably be the most competitive and most fun to watch. It features seven ranked teams, and there is talk that 10 teams from the conference could make it to the big dance.

One team to keep an eye on in the ACC Tournament is Virginia. The Cavaliers have been playing well as of late, winning three in a row after dropping five of six. These wins weren’t against the juggernauts of the league, but any win in the ACC is a quality win when the league is this stacked.

The Cavaliers are an interesting team and it’s anyone’s guess how far they will go in the ACC Tournament or the NCAA Tournament for that matter. And that’s why they are so intriguing. They have the players to make some noise, they just haven’t put it all together at times this season.

Virginia is an interesting team to keep track of, and here are five storylines to keep an eye on for the Cavaliers as the ACC Tournament commences in Brooklyn.
