The AAC basketball tournament will showcase some of the best underrated teams in the nation, but who has realistic chance?

The AAC has produced some great teams in its short history and this year is sure to produce another exciting tournament atmosphere. Most AAC basketball programs have a young history and can improve its prestige in the tournament.

The AAC basketball conference is considered to be the best non “power” conference and has three teams in the top 50 of the RPI rankings. The UConn Huskies have one of the most storied programs in the country, but the conference has plenty more to offer. The Huskies won the national championship in the league’s first season.

There are a few teams that really stand out from the rest of the competition, but the league has been balanced as a whole. The league has a few locks for the NCAA Tournament so far, but there are teams that could definitely make a run in the AAC tournament.

The AAC will host just its fourth conference tournament, but the league has sent multiple teams to the tournament every year. They sent four teams to the Big Dance twice and two teams in the other year.

It certainly isn’t the most talented conference in the country, but there are several strong teams that could potentially play for the AAC title. The conference features some of the best individual players in the country and several well-experienced coaches.

The tournament will take place in a crazy college basketball town in Hartford, Connecticut from March 9-12.
