The Big Ten Tournament begins on Wednesday from Washington D.C. What five teams have the best shot at raising the trophy Sunday afternoon?

What can we expect from the Big Ten Tournament this season?

While many have derided the conference for being down and not elite, the conference still packs much intrigue as the five days in Washington D.C. should be unpredictable and full of surprise.

Seeds 11-14 tip things off on Wednesday. There a team like Ohio State will try to make a late season run on the bottom-half of the bracket.

Thursday is when things really get rolling with seeds 5-10 and Wednesday’s winners in action. There Iowa will try to continue its hot late-season play against Indiana, Michigan and Illinois will play with NCAA implications at stake, Michigan State will play the winner of Nebraska/Penn State, and Northwestern will look to pad its NCAA tournament resume by playing the winner of Ohio State/Rutgers in the nightcap.

The top four seeds tip-off on Friday with Minnesota, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Purdue all joining the action. Saturday’s semi-final games follow with Sunday’s championship awarded just before the bracket is revealed on Sunday evening.
