Duke Basketball prepares to compete for the ACC Championship in Brooklyn, NY, and will hope that they can build off of a strong finish to the regular season.
The Duke Blue Devils have had an up-and-down season, but they seemed to figure things out in the month of February. They have propelled themselves back into the top half of the ACC, and they enter as the tournament’s No. 5 seed. The Blue Devils and will take on the winner of the Clemson/NC State matchup on March 8th.
It has seemed as though there has been a new headline-generating out of Durham every week this season.
All three of their highly-ranked freshman were forced to begin the season on the bench due to injuries sustained in the off-season. Then, Duke lost Grayson Allen to suspension, Amile Jefferson to injury, and Coach K to surgery.
With all of their pieces finally in place heading into the second half of the conference schedule, they have had trouble finding the right lineups to maximize their offensive potential while remaining disciplined enough on the defensive end to compete with the toughest conference in the nation.
After their loss to Chapel Hill, this week hasn’t failed to generate drama either. Heading into the postseason, Duke still has quite a few things to figure out if they intend to make a run in the ACC tournament.
