Giles, Bolden have had a quiet year, but could this be their moment?

These two freshmen came into the year as No. 1 and No. 16 in ESPN’s top 100 High School players, though they have seen limited time and haven’t had the impact many expected.

Harry Giles had knee surgery just before the season and missed the first 11 games, while Marques Bolden missed the first eight games with a leg injury. The two have combined for just 6.1 points per game and 5.3 rebounds.

Giles is averaging 12 minutes a game while Bolden sees just 7.1 minutes of action. But with Jefferson’s health troubles, the two could soon become important parts of the Blue Devils’ rotation. Look for at least one of them to show extra effort in this tournament in order to compensate for Jefferson, who isn’t 100 percent.
