As the 2017 NCAA Tournament gets underway, I have gotten all 68 teams together and power ranked them based on their potential in the tournament.

The Selection Show is over and we are just about to get going with the First Four. But before the games tip and your bracket is submitted as final, I looked at each team in the tournament and ranked them on a 1-68 basis, including a tad bid of analysis.

Ranking these teams is extremely difficult and there are obviously tons of different opinions. However, there are no right answers. We will know in just a matter of weeks who the best teams in the country really were, but for now, these are my thoughts.

There are four teams listed per slide, and here is a quick overview as to what was considered for the rankings:

  • Overall resume and what they have to this point.
  • The eye test and how they could potentially do damage.
  • Thoughts on how likely they are to make a deep run.

Throughout the article, there are discussions on how each team matches up with their potential opponents, but the draws given by the selection committee did not have an impact on where a team landed in the rankings. Now, without any further ado, let’s get into it!
