5. E.C. Matthews, SG, RI

The rams play as well as E.C. Matthews does. He is finally healthy after tearing his ACL last season, and it shows. Matthews is long and can score in a multitude of ways. He can knock down jump shots and slash through the lane and finish at the rim.

He plays well under pressure and is a major reason for the Rams’ success this season. During Rhode Island’s last two games of the Atlantic 10 conference tournament, Matthews scored 19 points in each contest, missing one shot total and grabbing 9 rebounds in the championship game.

If he continues to play this well, the Rams could be dancing late into March.
