March Madness: Top 10 candidates for Final Four most outstanding player
6. Jordan Bell, Oregon
Jordan Bell may be the most important individual performer to his team’s success in the Final Four.
Bell is not the best player on the Ducks, but he is certainly their heart and soul. The 6-9 junior forward possesses a high-motor who is an excellent rebounder and a very good shot-blocker.
Bell came to Oregon three years ago as an athletic rebounder. He had shown flashes of brilliance on both ends of the court during his first two years. Bell has developed his offensive game this year.
Bell had 12 rebounds against Kansas, becoming the first player since Hakeem Olajuwon to record 12 or more boards in five straight NCAA tournament games.
Overall, Bell has posted three double-doubles in the tournament. He is averaging 12.5 points, along with 12.5 boards a game, while shooting 55 from the field. He also has blocked 12 shots and recorded three steals.
