NCAA Women’s Basketball: Top 10 prospects in 2017 WNBA Draft
Allisha Gray, South Carolina
Allisha Gray is one of few early entries in the WNBA draft. The 6’0 guard is a solid all-around player who significantly helped her stock during the NCAA Tournament.
Gray scored in double-figures in all six NCAA Tournament games and hauled in at least eight rebounds in five of those contests. She finished the tournament with two double-doubles, including one in the championship game against Mississippi State. Gray totaled 99 points, 50 rebounds (19 offensive), and 11 assists during the Tournament.
Gray is a threat from anywhere on the court. She can really stroke the ball as well as drive to the basket. She is also solid on the defensive end and has the ability to play either the two or three.
For the season, Gray averaged 13.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. She shot 51.2% from the floor and 31.9% from beyond the arc.
