10. Dan Majerle, Grand Canyon Antelopes

Dan Majerle, aka “Thunder Dan,” was a fabulous professional basketball player. Majerle was taken with the No. 14 pick of the 1988 NBA Draft out of Central Michigan. The three-time NBA All-Star appeared in 955 career games, averaging 11.4 points. In addition to the Phoenix Suns, Majerle also suited up for Cleveland and Miami.

Majerle was an assistant head coach with the Suns from 2008-13. He was named as the head coach at Grand Canyon on March 15, 2013. The 51-year old has done a fantastic job with the Antelopes, compiling a 81-45 record. Grand Canyon has not finished worst then tied-for-third in the WAC in his four years. The Antelopes, who have made three CIT appearances, have won 20 games in each of the past two seasons.
